Future campers should be prepared for the raccoons. They are extremely bold and persistent. Even though we followed the campground rules and stored our food properly, the raccoons still caused problems. They entered our campsite while we were away and tent, they also ripped a large hole in our tent while we were sleeping!!! We had nothing but ourselves, clothes and blankets in our tent.
Our biggest disappointment was with a couple of the campground amenities. After spending all day hiking in the summer heat, we were looking forward to cooling off in the pool, but it closed at 5:30 p.m., which felt much too early. It would have been nice if it stayed open later so campers could enjoy it after returning from the trails. We also found that only two showers were operating during our stay, which resulted in long waits during the evening when everyone was trying to clean up.

I’m on a mission to visit all 63 national parks. Pinnacles was my 9th the park was beautiful my disappointment is the gift shop was closed both Tuesday afternoon when I arrived and Wednesday afternoon when I returned from my hike. I wanted to purchased the national parks coin can I do this online??

Our experience was excellent. It was hot, as normal. Having the pool available made getting through the heat easier. There is big difference between the campsites in the summertime. Some are nicely shaded, some are just exposed to the blasting sunshine. I think that refills/exchanges of the 5 gallon propane containers should be available at the park store, but are not.
Closest place to exchange is Tres Pinos, about a 40 minute drive away.
Hiking was just great, park staff were wonderful.

We stayed at the east entrance campground. The campground was clean, quiet and on an excellent location. Bathroom were clean and didn't smell. The little store had all you can think off with comparable prices. The attendant help us figure out late arrival. I am planning to come back and stay longer.

Really incredible park. We stayed in the "glamping" cabin and it was fantastic. We had a little mix up on check out time and the staff was incredibly helpful in navigating that with us. Wildlife is great, trails are awesome, views are spectacular and the caves are a real treat!

We had a great stay at the camp site. The staff at the store were very friendly and helpful with checkin questions. The bathrooms next to our site was very clean and well maintained. The only issue to note are the aggressive racoon population. It's understandable they will look for food and are not afraid to come up close, so we quickly learned to finish cleanup before dark.

General
- Generators are not allowed at any time in any site.
- Tent/RV Sites: 6 people, 3 tents and 2 vehicles or one vehicle and one trailer or RV/Motor home. Group sites: 20 people, 5 vehicles max. No RV’s, motorhomes or trailers allowed. Any self-contained vehicle designed for sleeping is considered an RV/Motor home. Extra vehicles MUST be left in the overnight parking lot. A tow vehicle plus a trailer counts as two vehicles. Social Trails: Avoid walking through other campsites, creek beds, and closed areas.Lighting: Party lights, disco lights, Christmas lights, travel trailer parking lights, any decorative lighting must be turned off starting at 10:00pm and ending at 6:00amParking: All vehicles and bicycles must stay on paved surfaces. Where parking pads are provided, vehicles must be parked with all wheels on the pad and may not extend into the traffic lane or into the campsite. All vehicles must be parked at thier respective campsites in front of the parking stops. Moving parking stops, driving beyond them or parking in another area/site will result in a ticket from NPS. If your vehicle does not fit in your site you MUST park it in the overflow parking area bhiend the store. Wastewater: carry to toilets for disposal. Washing dishes/clothing and brushing teeth at water spigots is prohibited.
- RV Sites: have 120v/ 30-amp service; EV CHARGING IS PROHITIED AT RV SITES, An EV charger is located by the store. Tent and group sites have no hook-ups. Generators are not allowed at any time in any site.
- Swimming pool: is open 4/1 to 10/31, weather permitting. No lifeguard on duty.
- Pets: allowed on leash in the campground but not on hiking trails. NEVER leave unattended.
- Wi-Fi: Guests receive 30 minutes of complimentary Wi-Fi. Extended access is available for purchase. Wi-Fi use is optional and not included in the nightly rate.
- Dump station: is available for registered guests.
- Trees: All trees, even when healthy and well-maintained, can pose a natural hazard of falling limbs. Visitors assume responsibility for any property damage, injury or other circumstances that may result from these hazards.
- Lost, Stolen or Damaged Property: Pinnacles Recreation Company is not responsible for loss or to property due to fire, theft, accident or any other cause.

- During peak visitation periods, access to the campground through the East Entrance station may be restricted. Delays can be expected due to high traffic volumes and parking reaching capacity. We advise planning accordingly to avoid prolonged wait times. Pinnacles experiences extremely high visitation on weekends, holidays, and during favorable weather, especially in the spring. Expect long lines and delays [or possible restrictions especially] between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
- Restrooms (Loop C) Loop C does not have flush restroom buildings. Portable toilets are located in Loop C. Flush toilets and sinks are available in nearby Loop B and Loop G.
