What Guests Are Saying
Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

This is a great place to stay while traveling on Interstate 5. You are right next to the Sacramento River. It does not seem that there are any comparable campsites between Redding and the Bay Area.

Toilet was next to campsite and stunk so bad I had to keep door and windows to my motorhome closed, and couldn’t even sit outside. Garbage dumpster was overflowing with trash creating yet another unsanitary condition. I would not stay here again!

Loud music from neighbor campers until 11:30pm, semi-loud until 2am. Parks road poor condition. Bathhouse need desperate renovation. Trees hanging over roads require trimming. 1 mile road into the park area in extremely poor condition. I would not recommend this park to anyone.

The place needs TLC! It's a beautiful place, but there was garbage just about everywhere I could see. The trails through the meadows were nice and clean. The park and campground were disgusting with garbage. It even lost power once along with water. It was out a few hours and it was hot out, so I broke out my generator for AC. The park and campground have a lot of potential to be a great place to go, but under the current management, it is dirty and not very welcoming.

There were many water leaks from underground piping - might be nice to fix and save water.

The location was good but the campground maintenance had been neglected sites for dirty garbage bins overflowing and the only state campground we stayed in that needed coins for the shower which we didn’t have.
Garbage left in the campsites barbeque pit. Also the rec site to book online was very difficult and glitchy and you had to pay a eight dollar reservation fee just to book it yourself online for the same day. There was only one RV site left in the campground but it was unavailable to book because the system said it wasn’t available but it was vacant.

I love this place. The showers are nice. The hosts are amazing. There’s so much beautiful nature and wildlife in the area. It’s very quiet and peaceful. My kids love it here.
