Nice quiet campground we pulled into for the night while in route going from WA to Southern CA. Everything clean and well maintained. Will come again.

Was awakened at 1 am by an abandoned woman the first night. Showers were out of order the second night. Homeless people were hanging around the bathrooms and bothering campers for the door code.

This has long been a favorite park of ours for several reasons. The campsites are slightly more dispersed so campers don't feel stacked up like cord wood. The park is predominately designed for tent and van campers with just a dozen with electrical service. Most of the park is undeveloped and has multiple hiking and biking trails and the environment along the Sacramento River is pretty well left natural. Except for a tiny museum and an herb garden, there are no structures or any recreational enhancements (eg stores, laundry, playgrounds, etc.)
