What Guests Are Saying
Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

This campsite was really clean, quiet, and had nice walking trails. I’m not sure why it got such bad reviews. The bathrooms weren’t great but we have a trailer so we used that. I would say this is more of an RV or trailer campground.

Thanks go to Ben Gray for good commination about the issues at Sycamore Campground.
So,,,, Bonnie got stuck in the bathroom since the door lock was broken.
and she panicked. Several people helped, but I was incredibly verbally beaten up for deciding to go back.
So sorry, but I can’t put up with this again.
My apologizes to the camp host, the wonderful people at the Nature Center, etc.
Thanks so much for the efforts.
It seems hopeless right now form our perspective.
But thanks again anyway😎

LOAD RECREATION.GOV APP to your phones! Everyone bitches about the reservation fees but the price is still very reasonable even with the $8 fee added to it. I paid $24 for dry camping. Arrived in the dark and stayed one night. Less than a hand full of campers due to time of year. Didn't use the bathrooms. A very quiet night. Pleasantly surprised when I woke up in the morning. Beautiful park. Looks like lots of walking trails and under a canopy of trees. Campsites are generous in size and level asphalt with asphalt paths to your picnic table. Really nice. I almost didn't come due to the reviews saying stuff about the homeless being an issue. I didn't experience any of that so was happy I didn't listen. The entrance gate gets closed at 10pm but campers get a gate code from their reservation app. And the exit has spikes. So nobody coming in that way. It was a perfectly acceptable pit stop on the I5. And I will use it again. KOA on the other side of the hwy is a walled and gated resort and they quoted me $57 for dry camp. Preferred the nature and trees of Sycamore Grove for sure.

Quiet location on the river edge. Camp host present and helpful as the bathrooms require a code to prevent unauthorized use.
