No visible signs of anyone managing. Reserved signs are weeks old. We were there twice, one week apart. Reserved sign was not changed after first visit. The reserved sign showed reservations back 2 weeks. When we returned, the same old reservation was marked. Based on what I saw, no one had touched the reservation signs since before July 7. The men’s room was a pig stye. Whoever is responsible for the campground is not doing their job and should be fired.

Our family camping trip is the highlight of our year. Ackerman campground was absolutely beautiful! The sites were large and well maintained and the bathroom was clean. The lady who was on site was incredibly helpful and friendly. The nearby lake, the beautiful views, and the quiet made this a great time.
We went at the very beginning of June and it was already very hot during the day and there is little to no cell service which would be the only downsides but having no screen time for a week is not a bad thing.
Perfect place for those who love to camp in peace and quiet.

My family has been coming to this campground for decades and this trip was so disappointing. The camp host is not taking care of the grounds anymore. Most of the spaces are overgrown with weeds and tall grass. The bathrooms are not taken care of, none of the broken things have been fixed. Also the cards for the reservable spaces are not updated or removed. Definitely not what it used to be and absolutely not anything like the pictures on this site.
