The 1st 6 days were awesome. Friday night the 22nd and 23rd the teenage partiers were there with no consideration towards other campers when it came to late night music, horn honking, and drunkenness until 3am. The campground host did the best she could calling the law. Not LE showed up. We will return to this campground but never on a holiday weekend

Three nights of loud music and screaming teenagers. All noise until after midnight.
I guess I'm just getting to old to expect quite evenings at a campground.

Nicely maintained and very large sites. Each has some buffer room between neighbors so you never feel like you’re right on top of each other. Easy access to the lake from multiple points. It took about 2 minutes to get to the shore from our site. Overall a great campground

Tannery is the unknown, under-utilized, hidden gem of Trinity Lake's various campgrounds. And Trinity is the gem of N.Cal. lakes (when full).
What makes Tannery so great?
BEAUTY. The lake, forest and mountains are the best looking natural beauty you can find. The campsite is nestled in a high density secluded forest. The sun coming thru the big trees is gorgeous, the nights pitch black with stars.
HUGE campsites. Room for 2, 3, 4 tents.
FLAT campsites. No ankle breaking or mountain climbing all day.
FULL SHADE campsites. Thanks to the dense forest, you can use your campsite all day long without chasing shade.
DRIVE IN campsites. No schlepping equipment from a remote parking lot.
CAMPSITE PRIVACY via dense trees and ground cover bushes. No awkward staring at your neighbors.
QUANTITY 80+ campsites to choose from. Something is always available.
BATHROOMS excellent, large, flush, numerous. Well maintained.
CONVENIENT TO LAKE. Lake is short walk away (when full).
CONVENIENT GARBAGE service. Bins nearby.
CONVENIENT TAP WATER all around the site.
The above features are often overlooked, but each one is critically important. Especially if you want to stay a week or more.
Best bring a large insect canopy for relief from bugs especially when cooking or want to escape from evening mosquito time, etc.

Beautiful campsite close to the lake. Great spot for fishing and water rentals nearby. The camp host was very helpful and accommodating. She was able to change our campsite to be further away from the drop to the lake since we had young children with us. We look forward to returning next year.
