While the sites were large and very nice, also nice lake fairly close to most sites, it was shocking that the water ran out in the middle of a holiday weekend, July 4th, and they also locked the bathrooms. Not too bad when you have a camper, but lots of tents, and heard a lot of complaints not having water to wash dishes, hands or go to the bathroom. Apparently one vault out house at one end of the campground to use. Not good!

Best campground in my opinion at Trinity Lake! Hauva is absolutely amazing and does an excellent job caring for her campers and keeping restrooms clean and stocked. We never want to leave and can’t wait to return!

Great campground - our campsite was a little sloped and the campground did run out of potable water while we were there but we had water tanks. Be prepared to rough it a bit, especially during summer months when it is hot. Access to the lake was easy - less than a 5 minute walk. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and the campgrounds are spacious.

I was disappointed about the lake. But the campground was in full shade, good spots. But some of them were steep.

Check in was nonexistent and had no interactions with camp host. Camp host does not sell firewood (closest is at Pinewood Cove, which has a small store). My name wasn't on the post at my site (but some other names were), and the site had a bunch of trash from the previous camper (some people don't have any outdoor recreation manners). Restroom was half operational. Site was quiet except at dawn when the dad patrol took their boats to fish. Sad to see a ton of trees tagged for removal, so expect less shade in the future. Getting to the lake from here is nontrivial when it's low. Shoreline is very steep and muddy. Swimming available up the road, good hiking up into the Trinity Alps from various trailheads nearby. Basically, a pretty no-frills forest service campground that serves as a place to sleep while doing other things in the area.
