No access to the campsite directly for easier unloading/loading, especially for disabled people. It took a lot out of us to carry the stuff uphill from the parking lot. Please allow access just to unload/load.

Our family loves it here! The scullery is wonderful. It was so nice to be able to properly clean dishes and utensils, especially stick s'mores skewers. You will definitely see wildlife, we've seen Red Tail Hawks and coyotes. It's a great way to experience the true outdoors and be so close to home!

What a gym! I've been to San Francisco a bunch and never took the time to explore the Presidio area. I will be going back in the near future, it's amazing! The campground was perfect for a large group. The Batteries to Bluffs trail a few hundred yards from the camp is perfect for an easy evening (sunset) hike/walk.

I planned my trip as a Thru Hike with the middle being Rob Hill campground. As such I packed a 65 L Backpack with a 4 man Polyester tent, to have more room, and layered ultra light clothing. I started at the south of the Presidio by taking the 1 California Muni Bus. From there I hiked to Baker Beach with the fantastic views. The trails were very well-maintained. The wildlife I saw were intelligent acting huge black crows which I enjoyed. I did not see any Coyotes. After Baker Beach I hiked to Rob Hill Campground. It was very nice to set up camp there. It would be luxury camping as compared to other places I have camped and so I liked it very much. After breaking camp I hiked to the Golden Gate bridge to catch the Golden Gate Transit to Mission Street to catch other transportation. The reactions I received were broken down by age groups: Teen-agers - that's not that far, 20-30 year old's - that's a great hike, 30-40 year old - why would you hike that far it's too far, 40-50 year old - it's too much trouble. There were other people I saw on the trails who were "running the trails" and they didn't have time to offer an opinion but seemed to like the fact that some one was utilizing the campgrounds.
