Dinkey Creek

Dinkey Creek is special. We really enjoyed the grounds, the host was nice, the bathrooms clean, and the watering holes are a plus. Site 15 is surrounded by a bunch of double sites so you get really loud rude families coming in which don't follow the quiet hour rules. Aside from them, it's a great campground. There's some nice fishing spots. Site 15 has no one behind them except a huge open field which is nice. There is no shade during the day so plan accordingly. And if you plan to bring a hammock, there aren't good trees at this site to do so.

This time we camp next a group of about 20+ people in one site wish was a lot of people, to noice! I do not how the rangers permited groups that Big!

Very difficult to back in trailer due to narrow camp ground road and logs directly across site. Roads in disrepair with huge potholes and sections just missing.

Stayed at both campsites K123 and B12. Both sites were beautiful and more private (which I loved). Staff were friendly and so welcoming which was refreshing. Tammy was an awesome Camp Host at B Loop, happy to have met her.

This site experiences sun most of the day during the period we were there (end of July). Many of the large trees have been cut down around the area which was sad to see. Beautiful campground overall.
The showers are located down at the main entrance and are $4 for 4 mins (that's a token's worth) but during the weekday they close at 4:30pm. You buy the shower tokens at the store. There are 8 showers but they're not all working.

Shaver lake was so much fun! I would plan food before coming up because there aren't many options.

This was our first family camping trip and we had a wonderful time. Our location G84 was near water, restrooms, and a good hike towards the honeymoon pool. Initially I was concerned because I know the restrooms in the mountains are not always the greatest but these toilets flushed, were maintained and restocked 3 times a day and they always had a pleasant smell. The staff was helpful and we felt safe. We will definitely be back!

The camp hosts were great. My family had a great time, access the trash, bathrooms, and running water were great. The bathroom wasn't too far. Very good experience.

I wanted to like it but there was garbage down by the creek, it was very loud at night and just felt a bit overwhelming. If you have a large group could be a great place to camp for this camper it was a bit big.

Dinkey Creek is a great place for families and groups of friends to camp. The restrooms were very kept. I do suggest that you research your campsite selection as many are quite sunny. I would suggest a pop-up shade. Our sites were 73 and 74 - 74 was shading in the morning and evening and 73 was sunny all day.

We enjoyed swimming in various water holes and there was lots of fishing but nothing caught. We will be up there again!
