Amazing gem in the Sierras! Nice and quiet place. Perfect spot for families with small kids who like to play in water!

Dinkey Creek is a well-maintained campground with clean restrooms and friendly hosts, making it a great destination for families and groups. Visitors enjoy the beautiful setting, access to swimming holes, and spacious campsites, though some sites can be sunny and noisy during busy weekends. Overall, the campground offers a positive experience, despite occasional issues with loud campers and maintenance concerns.

It was very tight to get our trailer thru the campground. The spot was great but if you have a trailer be prepared. Our’s is a 32 ft toy hauler and it was hard to get around the corners and the low hanging trees, but we made it.

The worst we have ever experienced. Camp host very disrespectful. Music extremely loud all day, all night. Was told they can’t tell any one to do anything. Camp host even ignored a 15 girl asking for help. DO NOT GO THERE.
I have been going to Dinkey Creek for 30+ years. Absolutely disgusting.

Campsite poorly maintained. Dry long grass throughout the campsite, felt unsafe to make a campfire. Campsite#89 G Loop which would be to my right directly across from the restrooms had 8 tents up, all being used and 20+ individuals camping on site. They also ran their generator all night and DID NOT respect their neighbors and/or the campground rules. I reported this to an older lady at the booth and she stated that she would advise host and ask that they follow up with me. I never received a follow up nor did anyone address the matter. There is NO way the host can say they didn't notice the issue, they definitely would of seen while they were cleaning restrooms or even driving by in golf carts. I paid for my campground from Friday-Sunday and DID NOT get what I expected and feel we I was ignored. I hope to hear from someone soon with feedback and an outcome.

We have camped up there for over 40 years. We have a trailer and I entered in all the appropriate information when booking a site. We had site 99, which was terrible for trailers. We could not put our trailer in that site and there were many empty sites available. The host told us it was impossible to trade sites. Really?!! We had to purchase another site. Thankfully once we got home, we were refunded but it was a frustrating experience when the host could do nothing to help us when there were sites available.
That seems like a policy that needs to be changed. The host should have the ability to help the people that they are serving. This was an unpleasant beginning of our vacation that had been long awaited. Recreation.org should trust their employees enough to make good decisions for the guests. Sometimes polices need to have exceptions in prefer to offer good customer service.

Very nice area for the campground among the trees and it was handy to have pay showers and a store nearby. Also there were flush toilets near our campsite. The road thru the campground has many large potholes which need repair.
Access to Sequoias grove, Cartwright Lake, Dinkey Lakes and Shaver Lake restaurants was the best part..

It’s an incredibly beautiful place if you’re into extreme hikes and adventuring. The campsites are also gorgeous and have a distinct vanilla/butterscotch/citrus smell of ponderosa pines.
