Restrooms are really clean. The lady at the booth was very nice and gave us information about the area. One of the nicest campgrounds i've been to. However many of the trees are chopped down meaning there is not as much shade and a lack of privacy. Other than that I have no complaints.

Staff cleaned the bathrooms thoroughly 6 times a day. Unfortunately, they didn’t keep up with the campsites, enforce quiet hours, prevent campers from using chainsaws on downed wood or know where there was a dump site for RV’s on the mountain! (Camp Edison has a dump site $30)
More than half the trees are down and shade is at a premium, be sure to bring your own.
If you’re going, be ready for a party crowd, loud music from multiple sites day and night. Non potable water, so fill before you get there. Oh, and the map online doesn’t match loop E!

We loved Dinkey Creek! It was our first time camping there. There are some downfalls. Very tight roadways between the campsites. This campground is geared for tent campers and not rvs, trailers, or 5th wheels, unless they are small. There is no dumpstation, either. Otherwise we loved the campground. Large sites, all the free firewood you could need, clean bathrooms.

This campsite is close to the bathroom but many, many trees have been cut down (due to the trees being dead) so there is little shade there. There is a lot of space between campsites but not that much privacy due to the few trees.

The bathrooms are very clean and the site was great. the only problem is a lot of trees are being cut down and there’s not much shade left in many spots

The staff was really friendly and the bathrooms clean. Overall, other campers were friendly too. While we were there, the status of the water was unclear in terms of whether it was potable, so that meant we suddenly had to boil our water or buy it. I hope that becomes clear soon (staff said they were one final test away from approving it for potability). It was also sad to see so many trees cut down. Hope the forest recovers soon.

Turn southeast onto Dinkey Creek Road and travel 13 miles to the campground.
The campground is accessible via Highway 168, which connects to Clovis and leads to Shaver Lake.

- Register at the campground office upon arrival.
- Reserved sites must be occupied or they will be forfeited.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
