The bunkhouse was great. The heater worked during the night and made the stay even more pleasant. Hike around the surrounding lakes directly form the cabin or enjoy a relaxing evening at the camp fire. Each cabin has their own firepit.
Note, always check road closures as roads at higher elevation may not be open yet which makes it difficult to get to different sites at the park.

Cabin was great and clean. We were here the last week the cabins were open and they shut the water off so no water was available for showers.

Stayed in the Manzanita Lake Camping cabins. The cabins were clean, but had broken blinds (been that way over the last 3 years I’ve visited). The restrooms and showers at the camping store were filthy and in disrepair.

The Manzanita Lake Camping Cabins are located approximately one hour east of Redding in Northern California. Redding is approximately three hours north of Sacramento on State Highway 5 and approximately 4.5 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area. From Redding, drive 48 mi east on State Highway 44. Turn right into Lassen Volcanic National Park and continue one mile south to the Manzanita Lake Campground, Camper Store and Cabins.
