What Guests Are Saying
Cottonwood Creek is a beautiful, well-maintained campground offering a peaceful retreat with clean facilities and a variety of nearby activities. Visitors appreciated the solitude, cleanliness, and natural beauty, making it ideal for camping and outdoor photography. However, some campsites were uneven or small, and there were occasional wasps, but overall, the positive experiences outweigh the negatives, with many guests planning to return.

Beautiful area. Just far away enough from major traffic. Has animals and very diverse tree, plant, and shrub life. We will come back.

The tent areas were not leveled. We had to use neighbour's sites.
We missed its Vault toilet.

It was beautiful and we were able to do a senior photoshoot near our campsite.

What a nice, quiet and clean little camp area. No cell service was the best part. Great trails nearby, beautiful little creek and swimming hole. Highly recommend.

The place is far enough that you feel like you’re in the woods.. well you are! You’re close enough to the city life amenities too. The main road is off the site but I was not bothered by it at all. The camp is quite, well kept, spacious sites and they provide bathrooms with a fire bit and ground grill.

Such a gorgeous place to camp, with access to huge networks of gravel roads nearby. The road was not visible from my spot (#42). The highway noise is manageable during the daytime, and almost non-existent at night. This campground has water spigots and pit toilets (no showers). Campsites have picnic tables and fire rings.

This campground is a weekend getaway for Truckee and North Tahoe. But during the week it is very quiet with only 3 or 4 campers. That's it. It's an older campground, but it did accommodate our 27-foot trailer.
We love it and will return next summer. During the week!
