We were very disappointed that we could not have a campfire & the only reason was our camp had no host. It rained the whole week we were their. The neighboring host could have also been at our camp also.

We stayed for 14 days, weather great and did a lot of 4 wheeling and didn’t fish this time.
We had a very large brown bear cross our trail below Milton res. At roads end! Carry bear spray !!
The weekends were very crowded for the end of September but we loved the camp host, he was very personable and helpfull!
We have a 25’ Rv pulling a Geo Tracker and our pad had plenty of room for both.
The Rv dump station was very clean and handy to get in and out of with a $20 dump fee.

East Meadow campground is a shady campground next to Jackson Meadows Reservoir. Many bathrooms and they are clean and well maintained. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. There are some larger sites for an RV but be cautious. Site #43 is described as 43' in length. I think they got the site number mixed up with the length! Maybe 32'? Lake is very close though for your watercraft.

The site was well shaded, good decently level soft surface to pitch the tent. The site backed out to the lake with a trail running downhill to it. Just a short walk to the rest rooms which were kept clean, not lit at night, which is a good thing in my opinion. No flies or mosquitos or racoons, just ground squirrels which never came close to our food.
I am a very light sleeper and typically have a hard time sleeping when camping due to all the nature sounds and critter sounds. But i had a very peaceful sleep with no sounds distrubing my sleep.
No camp host, no fires. Lake was very peaceful as no motorized boats were allowed.

We were not too happy to find out just days before our camping trip that campfires and charcoal grills were not allowed. Combined with the lake being closed to motorized boats, it was certainly a disappointment, and the campground was nearly empty as a result.

Been camping there for 40 years and, although the campground has had problems the past several years with closures, restrictions, and water access, this year was great even thoough there was no camp host to keep toilet paper in the restrooms.

Lack of non reservation sites is a problem. Used to always have ability to come without reservations. Lack of camp host is an issue. Garbage dump only at exit is inconvenient. Otherwise, lake was full and sites were clean. very nice.
