What Guests Are Saying

East Meadow Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful location with well-maintained sites and easy access to the lake, making it ideal for swimming and paddle boarding. However, recent issues with water availability and restroom closures have impacted the overall experience, along with concerns about noise and site management due to the absence of a camp host. While many campers appreciate the campground's charm and atmosphere, consistent maintenance and communication about amenities are needed for improvement.

Beautiful quiet campground with lake views. The walk up and down the hill to the lake wasn't terrible but did make it difficult to launch a paddle board. Fishing for trout and caught like 5 carp ( turned into dog food) seems like the lake might be over run by this invasive species. All and all a good place to camp, just with there was easier water access.

The campsite was beautiful and the weather in mid/late June was lovely! Wasn't able to catch any fish. Surprisingly few bugs due to a recent cold snap. Had a lovely time and would absolutely stay here again.

location of the campground was excellent, other campers chose to play loud music at unfortunate times of day, and this next site over didn't have a level campspot, except right behind the driveway to mine, very close quarters with the neighbors. otherwise, the campground was well tended, with lots of fun activities.

We were in site 35 which was AMAZING!!
The only problem is the main access to the water from that spot was blocked by other people's paddle board floaties and 2 pop up canopies it's one thing to take up the spot during the day but they left their stuff there over night so we couldn't ever get to the water that way and we had to find other not so great ways to get to the water to go fishing

Beautiful campground, many spaces with views of the lake. Heavily treed, no cell signal. Don't forget the insect repellent!!

We were very disappointed that we could not have a campfire & the only reason was our camp had no host. It rained the whole week we were their. The neighboring host could have also been at our camp also.

We stayed for 14 days, weather great and did a lot of 4 wheeling and didn’t fish this time.
We had a very large brown bear cross our trail below Milton res. At roads end! Carry bear spray !!
The weekends were very crowded for the end of September but we loved the camp host, he was very personable and helpfull!
We have a 25’ Rv pulling a Geo Tracker and our pad had plenty of room for both.
The Rv dump station was very clean and handy to get in and out of with a $20 dump fee.

East Meadow campground is a shady campground next to Jackson Meadows Reservoir. Many bathrooms and they are clean and well maintained. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. There are some larger sites for an RV but be cautious. Site #43 is described as 43' in length. I think they got the site number mixed up with the length! Maybe 32'? Lake is very close though for your watercraft.
