Findley Campground

No water supply. USFS should take over management from NID.

Reserved spot #3 which is a shared parking pad with #2. There are no spots for a tent and the fire pit is also shared. None of this is disclosed. Pictures should be posted of each spot as the site supports it but it’s not done. Sadly, the campground is not maintained well from what it sounds like early retirement opted by numerous forest serviceman in that area.

We have been going there for 50 years, and it is always beautiful! This year we, and our family, were the only ones theres for the first 3 days! It was amazing! One thing that is bothersome, the online campground map is wrong. We should remember each year, but we don't. The map shows space 10, Findley, is on the outside of the loop. It is on the inside, has the picnic table on the other side of most doors, and won't accommodate trailers over 23 ft.

In the past few years we have been camping at Findley was always an excellent experience except this time. The site wasn't clean, trash scattered around the vicinity of the campsite. We really like the flush toilets, however no toilet paper was available at times. For a site worth $28, it should at least be clean!

Great campground with very clean bathrooms. We'll definitely be back!

A few call outs:
- Some sites are quite small realistically only fitting one tent and are very close to each other (i.e don't book 4 or 5 unless you're booking both for a group).
- At the moment, the camp map is inaccurate, site 9 is where 10 is, 10 is where 11 is, 11 is where 12 is and 12 is technically missing but is just before where 13 is marked.
- Best spot seemed to be site 13 which was larger/slightly more private.
- A lot of folks come out to this area to do off roading so there is some noise from off roading vehicles.
- One review said this site is not walking distance from the lake which is not true. It's about a 5 min walk to the Woodcamp Day Use site which has a handful of picnic tables, easy lake access, potable water and pit toilets.
