Findley Campground offers a peaceful and beautiful setting among the trees, ideal for swimming and kayaking, and is appreciated for its remote atmosphere without crowds. However, issues such as a poor booking system, inadequate bathroom supplies, and lack of maintenance detract from the experience. Guests also noted difficulties with campsite assignments and access to water, suggesting improvements in management and site information.

I was a bit concerned, because we couldn’t get any water on the other side of the lake and the dump station was closed because of water supply problem. But everything was fine on the Findlay side. Only two other campers in the campground while we were there, though it was Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. The lake level was very low, but we still found some good spots to go swimming. The road into the as still as rough as it ever was. Washboard and Rocky on the dirt part and potholes on the paved section.
The forest service was pointing their finger at the irrigation district, and vice versa, regarding who was responsible for the lack of water in the campgrounds. Overall, we had a great time! No bears!

It was a really nice campground and there is ample space between camps. But, as RVs are also allowed, there could be some generator noises. We had amazing night sky views. We took Spot 6, and were car camping. Like others said, this spot makes it difficult for the car to get closer to the camping area. So we pitched our tent on the tarmac itself. The ride leading to the campground can get a bit bumpy.
The toilets are clean, but get your own soap and toilet paper.
