What Guests Are Saying
Little Lasier Meadows Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with ample space for horse trailers and secure paddocks. The trails are clear and enjoyable, making it a great destination for equestrians. However, the rocky access road and some site accessibility issues may require careful planning, especially for larger trailers.

We love to camp here several times a year and were greatly disappointed to arrive at the horse campground with our horses on Oct 3rd and find it filled with hunters and ATVs. The sign at the entrance to the camp said no ATVs ? The kids with the hunters were shooting their BB rifles by my horse’s coral, scaring and endangering my horse. They started their Generators and ATVs up at 5 AM every morning. How can we enjoy our horse rides in fear of getting shot ?? Many of the hunters said they come here every year. There were also bikes on the PCT trail. It’s just not right. I understand we may have to share the campsites with non-horseman but hunters driving ATVs in the camp is unacceptable in a horse camp facility. How can we stop this from happening again ? I never saw any forest service people and nothing about this on the website to warn us

We never found the campground, and even if we had, the smoke was so thick, we wouldn’t have stayed.
The smoke was not the fault of anyone, but the directions need to be updated and better signage would help.

This is our favorite equine camping spot of all time. We love that giant beautiful meadow that abuts most of the campsites, the access to the Pacific crest Trail, and how you feel you’ve gone a long way out of town to have a wildland experience. It’s a fun to go to the reservoir and float around or fish. There’s been some years we fish directly from the creek in the meadow, and it doesn’t matter what time of the year we go; the beginning of spring summer or fall, it’s like a little slice of heaven every time we go. The biting flies were really bad this year, early spring, but that’s been the only drawback, ever!

For equestrians and camping there several good spots with corrals. But some of the sites are not good for the longer gooseneck trailers. The water pump will give you a workout 😊
During our stay there was lots of non equestrians (hunters with atvs ) they were quiet and very nice. However, one hunter was successful in killing a deer which our horses happened to smell the blood and it made them nervous and spooky....and these are horses that hardly ever spook.

The entire camp is absolutely beautiful ! Great access to PCT and other trails. The description on the Recreation.gov web site is not clear about the fact that there are only a total of 10 stalls, and the water is a pump style hydrant, and campers should bring a cart and large buckets to transport water to their horses stalls.

we love this camping location there are so few areas that you can camp with your horses.
The riding is great and our spot is always reserved without any problems when we
get there.
