What Guests Are Saying

Pass Creek Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting with large, private sites near the lake, making it a great spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Many visitors appreciate the friendly campground host, Steve, although some have raised concerns about his adherence to rules. While the campground has clean facilities, there are noted issues with restroom maintenance and water availability, so it's advisable to check ahead before visiting.

Camp sites were reserved for my scouting america troop, and everybody got a pleasant experience out there. Having a reservoir next door was good but the weather was not cooperating, too much wind for paddleboat... So the troop fell back on hiking and were very pleased with the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) being right there. It is not every day you can walk on such trail.
Overall, it was good and everybody enjoyed it.

These people aren’t wrong, the campsite host was incredibly unkind!

His dog running at you off leash barking could be scary, but he is also a large man with an intimidating presence.
He did not need to bully a lone 5 ft female who had a simple question at a reasonable hour.

Coming from a family of campground hosts, I find it absolutely heartbreaking that there is someone in this role who does not find it an honor and privilege to care for these spaces and their visitors.

The place was beautiful but this guy needs a new line of work and a different way to deal with his feelings.

Sites 17 & 18, a short walk to the water. Restrooms with flush toilet, running water across from us. The sites are large and private backing up to trees. Steve the host is very friendly and Informative. If your launching call NID ahead for when the gate is open. Its not posted at the launch. Love this lake and campground

The camp host at Pass Creek campground is completely incompetent. I believe his name is Steve. He inforces the campground rules based on his mood at the time and he brakes the rules himself. Example: his dog is not always kept on the leash when he roams the campground and his dog jumped on my wife on one occasion. Also, The bathrooms are not kept clean or stocked at all. It should be noted that many other campers were discussing this issue and had the same complaints. Please hire a camp host that knows how to be a host and not a tyrant.

We have camped at Jackson Meadows for over twenty years, at least one or two times a year. this June and July we had a person saying he was a camp host. He has a part pitbull dog that is off leach most of the time. The dog jumped on my daughter while walking her leached dog and charged me when I walked by his camp. I took pictures of the dog, and he told me that I was nothing but a complainer when I informed him that he should follow the same campground rules as the people camping. It seems he thinks his only job is to harass the campers.

Great place to camp! with a boat ramp and running water and restrooms are available. Beautiful, clean spot with plenty of lake fun. My 2‑ and 6‑year‑old grandkids had a blast. For kids, just keep a close eye near the water, use life jackets, and apply sunscreen regularly.”

Camping was great. The campground could use a little more care. We picked up small pieces of garbage around our site. Restrooms around most campgrounds in area have a least 1 bathroom out of order. Buildings need painting. Off-road vehicle use is apparently being allowed in the campground. The week was peaceful, glad we missed the weekend madness.
