What Guests Are Saying
While some guests reported issues such as lack of running water and campfires due to the absence of a camp host, others found their stay enjoyable and plan to return. Concerns about noise and disrespectful neighbors were noted, but overall experiences varied. Some campers had a positive experience despite the challenges.

Great camp ground but they closed the flush toilets while we were there
I camp there almost every deer season

Super clean campground and beautiful location! We appreciated how quiet and private it felt. We booked spots 16-18 and they were great spots for tents, nice and flat with lots of space.
Can’t wait to come back in the spring!

Lovely, quiet campground and cool, clear water for activities. Bummer there was no on-site running water, flushing toilets or campfires, but that’s attributed to Mother Nature.

The Boat Launch near this site has dried up (July 2021), you have to drive back up the road to Pass Creek boat launch ( 10 minute drive back across the dam). If you are bringing a boat or watercraft camp there instead!
The campground itself was nice enough, shady and a short walk to the lakeshore. The fishing was ok, we caught a few nice trout. Nice place to hike. Big Bear boxes at the site. We got site #3 and it was big and on the corner so it had privacy and the parking spot was pretty level. Lots of bugs, so bring repellent!

Woodcamp campground was excellent. However, these is no camp host in that campground and there was a loud party that went on next door until 2am. We also camped at East Meadows and it was excellent and had a extremely nice campground host.

The campsites were lovely and large, although not level for the tent pad. We were sliding down in our sleeping bags throughout the night. Also, there was a large revival of some kind (in the middle of Covid-19) with meetings being held into the wee hours of the night on the beach. Then, there were two ATVs zooming in and out of the campground every 30-60 minutes. The noise level was RIDICULOUS and because there was no camp host at this site, nothing was done. The revival went on until 2AM with shouting and screaming, followed by ATVs zooming to drop people off. It was completely unacceptable. Other than this group, this campground was a short walk to the lake, had bathrooms with flush toilets and a sink and mirror (although only one set of bathrooms, a longer walk that I'm used to at a campground). BUT, I would go again. Also, no cell service--30 minutes from cell connection on hwy 89 near interstate 80.
