We were aware how close we were to the road but not aware that construction would be going on from 8pm - 6am. Constant bright lights making it feel like day light, with a them breaking up the road all night was impossible to sleep. Who ever runs this establishment failed to communicate this disturbance. Simply because management lacks caring about any guest I would never return just because I know they would not tell paying guest about any inconvenience.

Great view from the campsites. Definitely a lot of road noise but I was fine with that. Only 1 bathroom with a sink.

Overall, our stay was okay. The campground was surprisingly quiet despite being close to the main road, which we appreciated. Our campsite was clean and had everything we needed, including a campfire ring, bear storage, and plenty of space for our tent.
The main thing we wish we had known ahead of time was the accessibility of our particular site. Getting to it required going up stairs and over a hill from the parking area, which made carrying all of our camping supplies to and from the site pretty difficult. The bathrooms were also located quite a distance below the parking area and required going down the stairs.
We still had a comfortable stay, but I would definitely recommend checking the location and accessibility of your specific campsite before booking, especially if you have a lot of gear, young children, or anyone in your group who may have difficulty with stairs or hills.

The bears are getting gusty in the campground by approaching your site while occupied and coolers exposed and a fire going. They’re just getting desperate before hibernating. What an experience

I really loved the location of this campground with great views and access to THE LAKE. There was a black bear running around per usual in this part of the late season. Host did what he could to deter the bear, but that's prime bear country for you! Sites are great with good space between each other. Bear lockers are in good shape (use them!). The only potentially negative thing for some people might be the steep steps from the parking lot and a little more uphill trail to reach the sites. To me, this was nice but for some people it might be a drag. Yes, the busy road is nearby but during my time there it wasn't a problem.
