This is a very crowded camp ground. The utilities are at the front of the spaces, sometimes in another space. The Rangers were very friendly. So were the other campers. But the campsites were just to close to each other.

The bathhouses could use some major attention. No matter what time of the day they were visited, they were disgusting.

Of course, the location is fabulous. And great to have access to all of the Camp Richardson amenities, beach and lake.

We love Tahoe…. My dad used to bring us as youngsters in the late 70s and now we are taking our adult kids and grand kids … We love everything about it !!!! Hikes, Casino’s , Heavenly gondola's and the mighty great Lake Tahoe ❤️

Wasn't able to change sites when previous rv wouldn't leave on time and Camp Richardson would not let us change sites because it was the day of arrival. Camp Richardson said it was up to Recreation.gov and Recreation.gov said it was up to the host (which Camp Richardson doesn't have camp hosts). We dealt with the front desk of the Richardson hotel.
Our resolution was to cancel the reservation and book a new one at a new site. Camp Richardson said the executives who could overturn the decision were gone and managers couldn't help. Very fustrating.

The RV Village is located 3 miles south of Tahoe City, on California Highway 89 (Emerald Bay Road).
From Sacramento, take U.S. Highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe and proceed north past the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Highway 89 (the "Y"). Look for the Camp Richardson Resort sign on the right side of the Highway.
From North Shore (I-80, Reno, Truckee) take Highway 89 or U.S. Highway 50 to South Shore.
The campground is accessible via California Highway 89, located approximately 3 miles south of Tahoe City. U.S. Highway 50 is also nearby, providing access to South Lake Tahoe.
