Wasn't able to change sites when previous rv wouldn't leave on time and Camp Richardson would not let us change sites because it was the day of arrival. Camp Richardson said it was up to Recreation.gov and Recreation.gov said it was up to the host (which Camp Richardson doesn't have camp hosts). We dealt with the front desk of the Richardson hotel.
Our resolution was to cancel the reservation and book a new one at a new site. Camp Richardson said the executives who could overturn the decision were gone and managers couldn't help. Very fustrating.

We had two successive reservations. The second reservation it was obvious that the previous campers were not moving and we didn't like the site. We found another site that was available per the recreation.gov web site. However recreation.gov said they couldn't help because it was the day of. Richardson campground said they couldn't make any modifications to which campsite that it was all up to recreation.gov. We ended up cancelling the second reservation and quickly created a third reservation. It was a frustrating experience in that no one seemed to be empowered to help. From what I can tell Camp Richardson should have helped but they refused.

We were in site #51 for 8 nights in mid-June...great site...level (some in the campground are NOT)...backed up against the woods, so lots of nature to enjoy...large space...neighbors well-spaced...bathrooms were well-serviced, but WAY too old; need to be replaced from the ground up...10-minute walk to the Lake...WiFi exists, and is OK in certain spots, but lots of dead-zones...
All in all, a very enjoyable time.

We have always liked camping at Richardsons, however, people cranking the music (even past 10pm into midnight) is getting a little old. I see the security guard drive around but nothing is ever done about the noise. People come to relax and have a good time, but some feel that they are the only ones that matter and that taking over the road way, getting hammered, and turning up the music too loud is, in their mind, something everyone should deal with because, again, they are the only ones that matter. But everything else is good, love the area.

The Electrical hookup was right on the entrance to the site - very far from the picknick table, so you either need a very long power cable (60 feet) of forced to park just by the road (like I had to). I never saw such a bad location of the hookup anywere else.
Also the office of the camp is NOT at the enterence and you need to guess or ask were is it.
Whay can't you put in advance a note on the site with the renter name on it, like other RECREATION campgrounds?

Great location. Lake is close enough to walk. The only complaint is the utilities were on the wrong side in my campground. I am happy that there are utilities.
