This is a hidden jewel and I almost don't want to give it a good review so more people know about it. There are a lot of good spots for trailers and RVs, but it's dry camping. The ibig negative is the BEARS. They are a nuisance and all over the place. There is a crippled bear, but now two adolescent bears. One got in our trailer when my boyfriend left the screen door open. It had also tried going through a window.

We had a nice stay at this campground. Bathrooms were always clean. We had a bear come through looking for food everyday. As long as you put food in the bear boxes when done, the bears will just go on their way. Only surprise for us was how tiny the beach is across the street. It looked bigger in the photos. Our vehicle didn't fit at the campsite, we just parked in the overflow lot which was not too far away.

Nice campground close to hiking and the lake. Bears visited the campground several times but did not bother us or other campers for the most part. One helped himself to a campers cooler that was not in the bear box but not the bears fault.

My husband enjoyed our time very much. We were pleasantly surprised with how lush the campsite was. We were not far away from a market and places to have a meal. We like to have that option, but we enjoy making our meals at the camp site. It was very helpful to be supplied with a bear box. Definitely came in handy.
The facilities were well kept and instructions were clearly laid out.
We would definitely come back.

You will be visited by a bear during meal time, so be prepared. After our first meal at the table, when the bear got between us our bear box, we cooked and ate on the bear box, facing each other, so we could see the bear approaching and put the food in box before he arrived. The beer was not aggressive toward us, but you definitely do not want to tussle over food, Once we adjusted our procedures the bear got no more food from us and went to other sites, whom we tried to alert. Overall, we enjoyed the 2 nights we stayed there and the proximity to many attractions.

Great campsite. Bernardo the camp black bear visited our campsite a couple of times but couldn’t get any food so he wondered off to another campsite. Our Starlink worked great and the weather was wonderful!

This campsite 020 is a really good site with lots of shade and large area. The highlight of the trip really goes to the host Steve, his enthusiasm and joy of sharing his knowledge and experience really made me feel welcomed at this place, he shared amazing stories with us and taught us how to start a fire easily, we had such a good time here and this campground would not be the same without him!
