Incredible and quiet little campsite tucked away on the West Shore! Walking distance to William Kent beach and many eateries. Very clean restrooms and sites.

We always love camping at William Kent. It is so close to Lake Tahoe; it is a perfect location for paddleboarding and other sports! It is also close to restaurants that we love. This year we also saw 2 bears pass through the campground, which was a treat! The hosts and hostesses are great too! We plan to make this an annual destination.

This campground was great! Quiet and convenient. Beautifully set across the street from the lake, dining, and a store. The hosts were super friendly and the campground was clean. Aside from the occasional bear siting it was very comfortable.

September is a great time in camp with mostly retired people wanting to be close to nature and enjoy Lake Tahoe. The facilities are well managed and clean. Overall a very good stay. Thanks to the hosts.

California bears came thru the campground everyday looking for food. Food lockers are provided. One evening a woman in the camp site next door had to chase a bear out with a bear horn. He was focused on the spaghetti dinner on the table. My next visit I will be bringing a bear horn. Bear spray I don’t recommend. One evening a gentleman blew spray and the wind blew it into our camping van. We spent the next 10 minutes coughing. Leave the spray at home. It’s best for grizzlies in Alaska. The horn works great.

Great proximity to restaurants, beach, Tahoe City a few miles away. Not many completely level camp sites. Clean flush toilets. Big party group of foreigners were loud. Left something out to attract a bear. Total commotion at 6am, then it was loud chatter and laughter from there on out in the otherwise silent campground. Super inconsiderate, but quiet hours end at 6am. Ouch...

So loud at night, until 2 a.m. some nights. There are cabins right next to the campground, which are most likely air bnb’s. They party all night long. Also had people in the campground ip and partying until very late. Camp hosts should drive around at 10 pm and give warnings. All they seemed to worried about is telling you to not park in the dirt. Also, what other campground doesn’t allow two cars per campsite? $10 per additional car is uncalled for. Who really gets the money? The forest service or the camp hosts?
