Always happy to pull in and see the hosts, who without fail welcome us with smiles and open arms. This year there were more bears than usual (as in Boo who really runs the camp!). I really appreciated having soap in the bathroom this year, forgot to pack it this year. Thank you! Looking forward to next year. Shhhh… our hidden gem!

We had fun! Resident Mama bear and cubs came out! It was fun to watch great experience for the kids. I would revisit!

Nice campground with great accessibility to everything you need. The bus & tart connect were free and easy to request a ride through the app. The beach is small be plenty of room to put down a chair and cool off in the beautiful water. The bike path is asedome!! Put everything in the bear locker!! Boo the big locally raised bear was out after dusk in the early morning & wished us goodbye at 10:30am while packing up our camper. We shouted at him and he turned and walked away. The mother bear and her cubs enjoyed an early morning buffett some idiots left out. So there entire site was torn apart. Another neighbor accidentally clicked the button on there van which opened the door providing a hearty meal of dog food lol. So dont eat after dark, always keep your bear locker closed. And if you have unexpected bears for breakfast lunch or dinner, step away and give them space.

These are the nicest campground hosts we’ve encountered. We appreciate their helpful and pleasant attitudes. This is a beautiful campground. Only drawback is the closeness to neighbors on the periphery.

The camp hosts were just spectacular. Very friendly people.
Our campsite was very unusual. After checking in, we were told that we had to wait for an escort to bring us to our site. We had to go around the one way in reverse as when the site was made years back, they paved it in the wrong direction. So when leaving, again we had the escort come and bring us through the one way in reverse.
Besides that.. it was fine. I was surprised that no showers were on site throughout the entire campground.

Bearlicious, Bearly got out of there, Bear with me we had a great time. Hiked ,biked and took bear pictures, cleaned up garbage, which I was glad to do. We'll be back next year, love this place.

Perfect location to access many areas of the basin. Cute little beach directly adjacent. Store is nice but pricey. Boo the bear made an appearance and definitely does what he wants

General
- Please Note: One vehicle per single site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicles will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground. Yurt fee includes one vehicle.
- All campers must register with camp host. Using the pre-check in will require you to check in with the campground office upon arrival.
- Forest Order No. 19-15-01: Prohibits camping for a combined total of no more than 14 days during a calendar year (January-December), forest-wide. Visitors may book campsites annually but the maximum stay may not exceed a total of 14 days each calendar year (January-December).
- Bears frequent the area; use appropriate food storage containers
- Off-road vehicles are prohibited in the campground
- Chainsaw use and hunting are prohibited in the area
- Limit of two pets per campsite; pets are not allowed on the beaches. Pets are not allowed inside Yurts.
- Please keep boats clean, drained and dry, to avoid transport or introduction of aquatic invasive species
- Maximum of six people per site and 1 RV per site.
- Using the pre-check in will require you to check in with the campground office upon arrival.
- Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures click here Fire Information
- Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
