What Guests Are Saying
Horse Creek Campground offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere, making it a delightful choice for families and nature enthusiasts. While some amenities, particularly restrooms and showers, were closed or in poor condition, many visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the portable toilets and the overall beauty of the site. The campground's proximity to Sequoia National Park and friendly rangers contributed to a positive experience for most campers, despite minor maintenance issues.

Site 21 had no actual space available for setting up a tent and was right next to a dumpster. It was 104 degrees F out, and the lake was brown and full of weird jellyfish type things so we couldn’t even cook off in it. We ended up needing to find another place to camp.

Not the best campground ever but not the worst. There was no toilet paper or soap in either restroom for the three days of our stay. The women’s shower did not lock and the water only came out boiling hot. Too hot to use without pain. The camp hosts were pretty rude to other patrons but were nice enough to us. We ended up leaving a day early and they refunded us for a night so that was nice! I would try to stay somewhere in the parks if that’s your destination but, as a last resort, this place will work.

The sanitaires were the worse I have seen. The equipment is just abandoned. I think the host was not doing her job properly.
The sites per se are great except some without any shades.

No shade, our site 18 barely has shade. Bathroom stinks, good thing we always brought our own. Other campers doesn’t observe down time, was noisy till almost midnight.

One of the worst camping experiences we've had this year. Bathrooms were filthy for the entire 4 days we were here, and the toilet paper was never restocked in either bathroom; luckily we brought our own. Our campsite location was nice, and the views were gorgeous, but our neighbors were rowdy, and clearly no park employees cared about enforcing or even encouraging quiet hours. Not sure I ever even saw anyone who worked for the park during our entire 4 day stay. Multiple times we came back to our campsite to find wannabe squatters ready to set up camp in our spot (with our tent and gear very clearly already established). Be ready to defend your campsite, and endure neighbors firing paintball guns at metal garbage bins at 6am after playing music till 3am. Wish I was exaggerating.

Only complaint was lack of shade. This particular site had none. Was actually a really cool campsite otherwise.

Really nice camp ground by the water just be sure to bring some pop up shade unless you get a spot with shade.
