What Guests Are Saying

Horse Creek Campground offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere, making it a delightful choice for families and nature enthusiasts. While some amenities, particularly restrooms and showers, were closed or in poor condition, many visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the portable toilets and the overall beauty of the site. The campground's proximity to Sequoia National Park and friendly rangers contributed to a positive experience for most campers, despite minor maintenance issues.

Great campground for Sequoia NP. Bathroom/restrooms as clean as you can expect for a campground. Working showers with hot water. Road noise can be heard but is not unbearable. RVs need to take note of quiet hours and shut there generators off, take note quiet hours are (10pm-6am)!!. No where to wash kitchenware for campers, many would wash there kitchenware under the fresh water spouts and in the bathrooms, not good! Campers please take a bucket and wash your dirty pots in your own campsite. Last point, the lack of campers using the wash facilities for basic hygiene was actually quite disturbing.

It was a nice campsite had a big cottonwood tree nice table fire pit course in California is beginning to get a little warm so if you don't have an AC best to stay out of the area during the summer months the lake was a little low but had a great great View very comfortable very close to Three Rivers Kings Canyon National Park Sequoia xcetera nice nice visit

This site (10) should not be used. It was so dangerous we had to leave early. The site is not level (steep incline not even suitable for walking safely, let alone a tent). Additionally there is a large drop off (at least 2 feet) onto steep slippery sand which slides under feet as one attempts to make their way to the fire pit and table. Also, when I checked in, I was told the spot was not good but no alternative was made. The danger is well known by the campsite hosts. The continued use of this site is negligent and represents an easily preventable liability. I just hope the resultant injury caused by the campsite administrators' negligence is not too severe or fatal for the future victim of this dangerous circumstance.

Great campground just outside Sequoia. A fair amount of road noise during the day, that subsides at night. Very interesting as the lake floods in the spring and slowly lowers during growing season. The number of sites varys with the water lever. We were there in October so much of park was blocked off. Facilities are well maintained. Sites fairly flat. Water tasted good. A great alternative to overpriced commercial facilities in the area.

We had a great experience with the Horse Creek campsite. Check in was no problem at all and we easily found our space. The campground and facilities were clean and very well cared for and the location in relation to Sequoia National Park is pretty close to perfect. I would not hesitate to use this campsite again in the future.

Our second year in a row spending Thanksgiving at Horse Creek. It is a fantastic fall campground. Empty and quiet. The showers get hot, and the toilets flush. Not much more you could ask for.

Have also spent time camping here in the summer. Although a bit busier, it is still one of the quietest and empty campgrounds you can find this close to the gates of the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks.
