What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

Everything was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend, the river is the main attraction. Alert!! There was a bear sighting because my neighbors left trash outside. It was scattered all over the road in the morning. Do not get comfortable and leave anything outside.

The weather was great, ut wasn't too crowded. People need to adhere to the site rules, too much lighting and noise late at night.

The campsite was so cool. We were in number 15 and I tell you, that will be our go to from now on. This was our first time in Kings Canyon and it was one of the most amazing experiences. You can hear the river all day and night which was super peaceful. The stars were everything! While there make sure you go see the nearby waterfalls. We missed out on it this time because we didn't realize how close it was. There is no service at all, closest wifi point is about 58 mins away which was great in itself as well. Do things early!!!! The crowds were so large in some areas, but I will say, the campground, even full was really cool. Oh and the showers were by token so you have to go buy them from the market. Make sure that you allow the water to fully run out before adding your token or you will waste the token. Also, use shower shoes, it's pretty gross in there with other people's hair and what not but they are very hot and they last at least 5 - 6 mins per token. We will definitely come back again!

Had a great night at Sentinel Campground. Site was comfortable and quiet. It was a nice place to stay for the night before hiking the Rae Lakes Loop.

Our family comes to camp here every year! Great views! No cell reception unless you connect to a satellite outside of the camp(text only). This campsite was right across from a bathroom, trash and water. Campsite was a good size and plenty of shade! We fit 2 10x10 canopys and 2 -sleeps 12 tents (we like to have plenty of room) 🤗 .

Best to avoid Sentinel campground. It is a mess at present. Restroom are in disrepair place hasn't been updated for decades. Great If you want to be close to the store, ride your bike or walk over the bridge to it.
