What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, shaded sites and proximity to the river, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the serene atmosphere and the campground's access to nearby amenities, such as the store and ranger programs. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms, are in disrepair and require maintenance, which detracts from the overall experience.

Best campground I’ve ever been to. Hot showers, small restaurant and lodge across a gorgeous bridge. Scenery is spectacular and only a short hike away. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. But there was someone in our spot when we arrived. We did inform the Ranger. The Ranger told us that they were waiting for another party to leave the spot that they had reserved at another sight. They people that were in spot still should of left. We weren't able to actually get in our spot until they left which was almost 1:00 p.m. We waited in the parking lot for almost an hour. I feel that the people in our spot should of waited in the parking until their spot was available.

The loudest campground I've ever stayed at before starting the rae lakes loop. Once the music stopped (full size speakers and camp hosts curiously nowhere to be found to complain to) and quiet hours started, the bears started coming around and you just hear people all over the campground yelling to try and get the bears to go away. Not the place to sleep before you start a backcountry trip, stay outside the park and drive in instead.

This campground had bears breaking car windows over multiple nights. Briefly saw one female ranger in the morning. Luckily another camper warned us.
The site lacked a flat area for tents and had very limited parking. The area is beautiful and worth the drive otherwise.
