Magnificent! Going in late May avoided the crowds with the perfect weather. Sentinel was the only campground open, but from the looks of the others it is the best. Spots 13 an 14 are closest to the river and really nice. Spots 34 and 33 are about as private as you can get in a NP. Lots of elbow room.

The area is stunning, and the hikes are beautiful. The campgrounds are nicely spaced. The only ok part was that the sink wasn’t working in one of the bathrooms. Since there are very active bears, you must put all food including coolers into the large bear bins and not in the car. Dishes must be washed in the sink and scraps must be in a bear safe trash can. Great campground, amazing park! Oh. Lots of trout for fishing, but most were too small in May.

The campground was clean, including the restrooms. The river was just a short walk away from our campsite. I highly recommend this campground to whomever is thinking about visiting Kings Canyon National Park.

Great campground in Kings Canyon! Long drive and no cell service, but you are in such a beautiful piece of nature!
