What Guests Are Saying
Sentinel Campground is well-maintained, clean, and set in a beautiful location near the river with ample hiking opportunities and great privacy between sites. Campers appreciate the friendly rangers and the peaceful atmosphere, especially in quieter months. While some facilities had minor issues, overall, guests enjoy a fantastic experience in nature.

Happened on a site with some nice kindling, clean site, showers available at the Kings Canyon grocery, friendly staff. Enjoyed hikes nearby.

There for 3 nights, site was good. Rangers were informative and pleasant. Only downside was neighbor across the road, up wind, had a smoky / smoldering campfire for most of the first 2 days. I don't mind a healthy campfire that's heat carries the smoke up, but this smoke just traveled along the ground, straight into our camp.
Luckily the last day they did not have a smoky fire.

Beautiful campground. Remote but with great amenities. Drive to campground past Kings River is gorgeous.

The location made for decently long drives to other parts of the parks. A bit crowded. The sink in the men's was broken, and the door to the women's was as well. The firepit was so full of ash that my first task was to empty it. Fortunately there was an ash bin nearby. Might've been the park was hit by the federal layoffs?
