The campsite is crowded and too close to each other. But overall a Beautiful campsite if you get a spot near the river. Camp hosts are very nice. I would come back again.

I’ve stayed here twice, and I have to say that although it is a lovely location filled with tons of trees, it is a very noisy campsite. Both times I’ve stayed (2 years apart), I encountered large groups of people, yelling, playing drinking games and being very unneighborly in the campground until many hours past quiet time. It was frustrating since we were staying this time for one night before doing a 40 mile hike into the backcountry. Hoping to get a good night sleep before our trek proved to be impossible. I do appreciate everyone who works for the park to keep these sites clean and useable. But this site had very few open restrooms. I’m sure that will change as the other campsites like sheep creek reopen. Overall it was nice to be able to camp so close to the roads end trailhead - just don’t expect it to be quiet :-/

I stayed here the night before a backpacking trip. Maybe this is a typical car camping experience, but it was very noisy. Some guests had loud parties well past 10pm, and there were extremely frequent car alarms (presumably due to idiots leaving food in their cars) well past midnight. In the daytime the place looks like a dumpy trailer park. On a good note, the sites were very spacious and easy to pitch a tent on.

Large open nice sites. Little privacy though. The creek is great for taking a refreshing dip.
