We returned to Kings Canyon for the first time in 40 years. Beautiful campground! Enjoyed the cool and crisp fall weather, perfect for campfires! Several of the stores and visitor centers were closed due to end of season, this was not an issue for us. We enjoyed the drive to the end of the road. Stopped at the Roosevelt tree on our way out of the park. One thing to keep in mind when planning a visit there are no gas stations inside the park, so be sure to have full gas tanks. There is so much to see, however a lot of driving is required to go from Kings Canyon to Sequoia. Looking forward to another visit.

Sentinel campground was perfect for our needs and convenient for exploring King's Canyon NP. It's not glamorous, no electricity or water at each campsite, but there are bathrooms and potable water spigots not far away. Road's End with lots of hiking is very close by.

Absolutely loved amping down in the canyon. So quiet and serene. The grounds and facilities are well cared for. We were on site number 9 which was convenient to trash and restrooms. It does get cold at night so be prepared, and be diligent to follow bear safety rules.
