Site 52
Loved our experience at Sunset Campground. Generally speaking, the sites are on top of each other. But 52 was in a smaller grouping of three sites (inbetween 51 & 53). No site across the street where you will see the most amazing sunsets every evening. Great spot with even ground for tent (noticed other sites that didn’t seem to have any even ground). Met the ranger on duty and he was kind, knowledgeable and stayed on-site near entrance. Close proximity to General Grant and Grant Grove. Not a bad drive to Lodgepole, General Sherman, Moro Rock, Lake Hume, etc.
Loved our stay and loved our site.

Great location, cool temperatures during the heatwave. Close to a market and a bunch of great Kings Canyon sites. Loved our time here!

We got the best site (#35) at the campground to watch the sunset and the moon. The only bad thing is, you can see the city lights from Fresno. The bathrooms need to be cleaned better. They were smelly and not well maintain by the maintenance crew.
