What Guests Are Saying
Boca Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting with great shade and proximity to the lake, making it ideal for families and groups. While the campground lacks water and can be dusty, many visitors appreciate the clean facilities and respectful atmosphere. Some concerns include noisy neighbors and rough access roads, but overall, guests enjoy the natural beauty and plan to return.

So beautiful. The campsite was a bit rocky but the experience made up for it. So relaxing, quiet, my dog absolutely loved it.

* Reserved site was taken already by a FF
* Host was not available to resolve the issue
* Reservation markers on campsites were not current
* Survived 1 night in another campsite
* Eventually moved out of campground altogether
Have generally had very good results with Recreation.gov reserving and camp information; I'll chock this up to an anomaly.

We were in site 21. First thing is that Boca has no water available so be sure and bring your own. Second, it was noisy on the reservoir with planes flying over the lake, the nearby freight train crossing, motorboats and jet skis, and on the other side of the little Peninsula we could still hear the freeway. The site had little cover so it definitely was not private nor quiet. Third, and the biggest reason that we did not like this campsite, was the Yellowjackets and wasps. We had to eat breakfast in our tent the days we were there and literally could not cook dinner there and ended up going into Truckee every night for dinner which was unexpected and a large expense. I would not go back to Boca again.

Easy access to the lake at pretty much every site. Not great shade, depending on the location of the site. Bathrooms clean, no water.

We LOVED staying at Boca! 🏕️🌲 We stayed at site 14, which had great shade, was spacious, easy to get our trailer into, and fairly level. We just needed blocks on one side.
Bathrooms were close and clean, but definitely smelly 😅 and the trash wasn’t too far. There’s no water available at the campground or firewood for sale, so come prepared! The fine dirt gets everywhere, so a rug was a must. Also, the meat bees are BOLD 😂 definitely keep your food covered.
My only wish was that site 14 had its own path to the lake. We had to walk through another site to access it. Other than that, we had the best time and will definitely be back! ☀️🌊

It's beautiful there and I would love to go next year but I have to admit if your tent camping bring lots of blankets cause nights are freezing 🥶!!!!!! Even in July!

The roads have been getting worse every year. They’re in terrible condition! Too many deep ruts and the way to site 7 is almost washed out. It’s very dangerous pulling an RV on that road and should be fixed!!!
