Located just inside the southern entrance, it allows you to settle in before you begin your exploration.

Family-friendly campsite. Well maintained. Big enough for 2-3 2-person tents and only a 15min drive to the I-10 highway. There's flushing toilet and sink. The best part is they keep a bottle of hand soap there for people to use. Very thoughtful!

Small sites but still worked fine for our 26' motorhome. Great scenery, though need to drive about 30mi to see actual Joshua Trees. Close to a few walking trails that provided scenic views and education on the plant life and historical people of the area.

Nice, well groomed campground. Sites are generally spacious, though for a travel trailer the odd numbered sites are wide spots in the road and not back in.
With many trailers now having roadside slides, most of these sites present safety hazards for RVs with slides. Even numbered sites are all backins and most are double wide so a trailer and tow vehicle can park.

This is a very level site with lots of space for our 10 x 14 tent to the left of the fire pit not shown in the image. The bathrooms were clean and fresh water available. Cell service was not available at the campsite but was available at the south entrance.
