Indian Cove Campground offers a beautiful setting surrounded by stunning rock formations, making it ideal for families and friends. Campsites are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with fire pits and picnic tables, with easy access to water nearby. While some sites are close together and noise from activities can be disruptive, many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, great climbing opportunities, and breathtaking stargazing at night.

Great campground right outside Joshua Tree National park. It feels like another world here with all the rocks. You can’t go wrong with most of the sites here. Very beautiful and private!

We really enjoyed our stay here. November and it was warm. The following week it rained so we lucked out. Amazing rocks to climb on. Our 4 kids spent hours on those. Would come back to same spot (35)

Site 9 was in a quiet area just off the main campground road. One could see other parked vehicles but their individual campsite was obscured by native shrubbery and beautiful boulders. There was a reasonable driveway for our minivan where we slept and our grandsons slept in a tent in a small, level space tucked between two boulders. Two hundred feet to toilet and trash bins, all out of sight. Bring your water!

This site was perfect not too close to the restroom that you could smell the outhouse or too close to the road and had lots of space for the kids to run

Awesome spot!! And private. Campfire ring was surrounded by rocks so we couldn’t put chairs around it

Indian Cove is a fantastic campground. Located close to Twenty-Nine Palms, but removed enough that you still feel the beautiful isolation of Joshua Tree National Park. Even with so many campsites, the arrangement makes you feel secluded and never crowded.

Indian cove campground was one of our favorites on a 3 week trip. Being set within the massive rock was gorgeous. Camp spots are nicely spaced and because of the rock formations made the spots private and sound deadening. Pit toilets were clean and well stocked. The nature walk is highly recommended. It is short and highly informative. We will definitely keep this on our list of places to return.

Amazing campground! Felt like we were tucked into our own little enclave of rocks with a lot of privacy (the campground was not crowded, so the privacy was partly due to that). Beautiful park and campground for early November!
