What Guests Are Saying
Indian Cove Campground offers a beautiful setting surrounded by stunning rock formations, making it ideal for families and friends. Campsites are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with fire pits and picnic tables, with easy access to water nearby. While some sites are close together and noise from activities can be disruptive, many visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, great climbing opportunities, and breathtaking stargazing at night.

Our site (018) was perfect. Secluded behind a rock even though we had neighbors staring the parking and camping on the other side of the rock. The campground location is easy access to the park entrances as well as town.

Love this campground. Pros: closer to stores than the other JT campgrounds, there are data spots even though not in the campground, lots of roads to walk and great rocks. Cons: lots of rock climbers, you can see and hear a kittle of town (if that's an issue), and I can't think of anything else. This site is large but not all of it is level. You can get two smaller tents or one large tent on the more levels any area (bring the right stakes), and more if you don't mine a slant. Near restroom.

Beautiful and immersive camp ground. Lot 90 has no wind protection though so we had to sleep in the car for one night. Something to keep in mind for this lot. Will definitely be returning.

Nice camp site with a spot level enough for a two or three person tent.

Such a nice, clean campground. Our site was spacious and it was so much fun watching the rock climbers.

This particular site was just ok. It was a bit close to other sites and therefore was a little claustrophobic for us. The campground itself was wonderful but we would totally opt for another camp site next time we’re visiting.
For star gazing I strongly feel that jumbo rocks was darker and prettier at night. Indian cove was beautiful at night but it felt a bit closer to the city. Sadly I think 29 palms and the surrounding area is going to continue developing and light pollution is going to get worse.

Campsite layout good , would have preferred a pull through , or have more room to park off the roadway ( had small square drop trailer , large stones prohibited moving it further into campsite). Overall campgrounds and vault toilets were well maintained,ie no trash , graffiti etc , ( the picnic table fire ring and bbq were in great useable shape Thank you ).enjoyed the space available between campsites . Very pleasant and peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff .
