Acorn Campground offers a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful scenery, ample wildlife, and spacious sites ideal for family gatherings. Many reviewers appreciated the cleanliness of the grounds and active ranger presence, though some noted that the bathrooms require more frequent maintenance. This is our second time camping at this campground. Both times were the off-season. They were plenty of spots to pick from and very few other campers. The campground is kept clean. The only con I could mention is that the bathrooms were not well maintained. They could’ve used a good cleaning and we passed on using the showers. All in all we would probably camp there again.

Good T-mobile coverage and nice campsite. Poorly maintained bathrooms (no toilet paper for two whole days, unclean toilets and showers, no soap). No place to contact camp authorities or purchase firewood at site.

The rest rooms were very dirty and out of toilet paper. We have also found that there are so many boulders placed on the sites that it makes it very difficult to get into spaces especially with a truck and trailer… you have to turn the truck and then hit a boulder while trying to make the trailer turn.

Campground was clean and ready. Camp host was friendly and kept an eye on things, but let us be free to have a great time.

Other than the rain, we had a great time. We will come again.

We've come here since the late 90's. This is like our 2nd home...to have the convenience of having stores and restaurants nearby gives you great options if your not into "roughing it".

Site 096 was great. Pretty good shade but the spot has a view of the lake and the hill across. The sun rises across the lake and sets behind you. This spot and the one next to it are great. The one next to it is better. It’s good for 1 tent. Great spot. See @bpassmore8 for a video of the spot
