The campsite I reserved was taken my other campers. We let the camp volunteer know and she said that she is unable to make them leave, or remove their stuff from our campsite. The Ranger was called and confirmed that the other campers were due to check out the previous day, and had just stayed another day illegally. The ranger said she would not move their stuff until the next day. So we left, and drove 3 hours to come back the next day and found that the other campers were STILL there, and did not leave all day. So we had to drive 3 hours home with kids. I tried to cancel online to recieve a refund and was unable to get any of my money back, even though I was not able to use the site. I don't understand why these campers were allowed to stay even after being spoken to by the Rangers, and I never recieved an explanation either.

Nice spot, close to the water. The main downside was the heat….

We had a great visit and really enjoyed the site we picked (23). The Ranger who checked us in were very nice! We were there mid week, so it was nice not to deal with too big of a crowd. We loved that we could anchor our skis right at camp. The only thing we did not like is the what appeared to be homeless people who were in and out each day using empty sites and although we can’t say 100%, they were using drugs in their vehicles. A little unsettling.

Would’ve been better if it wasn’t in the middle of a heat wave and 100°. Wish there was more shade on the Acorn campsite. Loved the lake, though.
