Campsite itself is nice but two major problems!
First, the campsite rangers are never around. We had a very annoying group of people next to our camp site. They were loud and played loud music from 7am until way past midnight. After complaining to the campground staff about it, they said they would drive by at 10pm and make sure people are quite! No one showed up. The next day (Saturday) most of the time, no campsite staff around to talk to! So we had to listen to the obnoxiously loud music of the people next to us all day long!
Second, bathrooms are dirty!
I don't think I will be coming to this campground again!

I’ve been staying at the Acorn campground for over 15 yrs. It’s been going down hill in the past few years. The bathrooms are not maintained. The showers haven’t been work most of the time. They ALWAYS run out of toilet paper. How hard would it be to have a ranger, which by the way don’t come around enough check and replenish the toilet paper.
When we first started camping here cars were not allowed to drive in forward, that’s not the case any more. It’s gotten out of control. I feel as though if this behavior keeps up it’s going to be an unsafe campground just like Nacimento and San Antonio.
On the other hand, the Rangers when we did see them were very friendly and nice. The man who drives a dark colored SUV and wears hi visibility shirt on the other hand nears to be mire award of his actions and think of the people and surroundings.
I’d like to see more of a ranger presence both in the campground AND on the water. There is a lot of dangerous boating going on. Someone is going to get hurt.
I do enjoy my says just not as much as before.
Thanks and I hope you consider my comment as a way to improve EVERYONES stay at New Hogan.

Everything was great minus the restrooms. Shower didn't work for the mens side. And toilet look like it's cleaned biweekly.

Beautiful area in the rolling hills. The campground was clean however a lot of the bathrooms had nonworking showers. It’ll be so nice if the government gave up some money for these places to be fixed up. Didn’t see much of a host but it was a lovely campground just the same.

A Cool place for families ..
We had a group of 8 guys definitely not the place to party! Quiet time at 10 pm is on the dot so if your looking for some where to be loud this isn’t it.
Water was cool not as low as every one makes it seem, showers bathrooms very close to every site.
