Everything about camping on the island was explained very clearly online before we arrived, so we were well prepared. The grounds were spotless and the toilets kept clean. The campground was very nice. We enjoyed the introductory tour given by the naturalist, explaining facts about the island

Had a great time on Santa Cruz Island. The campground was well equipped with running water and spacious toilet facilities and changing rooms. We had booked two nights and needed to switch campsites in the middle. We preferred campsite 9 over 15 but both worked really well. We much appreciated having a picnic table. We loved our hikes to Smuggler's cover and up to the Ridge. And the foxes were very entertaining. Great experience.

We had a great 2 nights in Santa Cruz… wish we stayed 3 nights to get in more hiking. The wind really picked up one night, but the trees helped as wind break. Our site, 11, was great… only 1 close neighbor. Island foxes everywhere, even in our tent once! The trek to the campground isn’t too bad, but with little kids it felt like a long schlep. Wagon would’ve really helped. What else? The rangers are awesome. Lots of ranger programs for the family.

Great island getaway. Highly recommend the kayak tours, and an extra thanks to Chuck for pulling me out of the water.

It seemed overwhelming at first… but it wasn’t at all… just follow the steps. Great experience on the island… magical place.

One of the most beautiful camping spots we've experienced. Lots of space between sites, so it never felt cramped. Clean pit toilets that were serviced at least twice a day. Huge fox-proof cabinets to store your stuff, and a large picnic table for the group. We had a magical time and can't wait to come back.
