This place is awesome. Scorpion does have a water spout so you do not need to bring that much water. The say it’s a primitive campsite but the bathrooms have solar powered lights and hand sanitizer. The hikes are pretty easy and the views are gorgeous. No campfires allowed. We saw a mega pod of dolphins on the way home which was incredible!

Great little campground on Santa Cruz Island. Easy to get to, nice flat spots for tents, well spaced out.

This is one of the most beautiful national parks and has the added bonus of being remote so not nearly as crowded as others we have been to lately.
We went in February and the weather could not have been better. Kayaking is a must.
All sites in lower loop have good shade. I didn't see any bad sites. 020 was close to drinking water and close but not too close to bathrooms. Nice space between neighbors.

Easy walk to the scorpion campsite, probably about 1/3rd of a mile. The toilets are better than expected. Hole in the ground yes, but clean, with good toilet paper and well-filled hand sanitizer. The island itself is a beautiful walkers playground and a new beautiful view at every turn. You do have to hike in and hike out your trash(no trash cans anywhere) but its well worth it. No mountain lions or bear so it would be potentially a good place to do some light non-car camping with children. There are few people around and I found it very comfortable to just leave my stuff at the campsite and take a day pack and hike around the island.

The campground is a short walk away from where the ferry drops you off. Each site has a "fox" box and a picnic table. There is a lot of tree and wind coverage as the site is in a valley. Great campground :)

Love this campground. Very quiet minus the foxes fighting at night. But it’s part of the experience. I suggest bringing plenty of lights for night time as it gets very dark.

Wonderful campground and facilities. Very clean restrooms and there is potable water in the campground near camp site #5. Awesome island and has a lot of trails.
