Overall, it's a pleasant, forested area. However, the description, which lists "Shade", is highly inaccurate. My campsite, and many others had no shade at all. Do not rely on the site's description. I would suggest photos of individual campsites, as is the norm in most other Recreation.gov locations.

This campground is in a beautiful and peaceful setting. We stayed at site 65 which was in the "hilly area" and the sites there are ample. Our camp host Doug was quite helpful with our site and our questions about the surrounding area and activities. There is a wonderful hiking trail that circles the entire campsite which is less than 3 miles long. Our stay was 7 days and we did not have any neighbors the entire duration of the trip. We are definitely returning to this beautiful campground.

Campground was as advertised. Had great stargazing. Views towards the desert from our site were awesome.
Downsides -- drought restrictions include limitations on the use of propane stoves (not just campfires). This was more of a downside than expected. We definitely missed cooking camp food and having coffee in the morning

The campground and the toilets were very clean. The host was very kind. Super close to Wrightwood for shopping/coffee/restaurants. They didn’t allow fires of any type during our visit.

Great campground, very quiet with nice views and cool temps (70s when the valley was 104). Only challenge was parking our travel trailer - some of the spaces were opposite the direction of traffic so nearly impossible to back in. Lesson learned: make sure you research which space you’re in if you have a camper (or just find another one when you get there).

Excellent mountain location at over 7000' elevation. Nice view of Mt High resort on the drive up to the sites. Lots of room and shade amongst the pines. Not busy when visited (6/2021)
