We had our camp chairs taken from our campsite. The campground host took no action when we reported the situation. We found the chairs in a neighboring site the following morning and a park ranger looked into the matter. I expect to not return to this campground.

Our short stay at Hodgdon Meadow campground was great. The camp was quiet and clean, and the restrooms were clean. It was easy to get a reservation to camp with our van. It's a great, uncrowded location, just inside of the park entrance and a 40 minute drive to the valley.

Great campground, nice spacing, quiet, and clean.

Campground was nice but a little uneven and about 7 feet downslope from the parking area. Bathrooms were a short walk uphill with no lighting, so being flashlights. The neighboring sites are very close but I didn’t mind it.

We were really disappointed with Hodgdon Meadow Campground. While it’s conveniently close to the park entrance, that also means you’re not really close to much else inside Yosemite. Unfortunately, the campground itself was the exact opposite of what we look for when camping.
The entire campground is extremely hilly. None of the sites we saw felt level, spacious, or easy to set up in. Our site was so uneven and overgrown that we couldn’t properly set up camp at all. It honestly felt neglected.
The campground hosts were also the worst we’ve experienced. Every interaction turned into long conversations with arriving campers, creating delays and making even getting checked into camp take far longer than necessary.
I tried walking around to enjoy the campground, but there was so much unkept deadwood everywhere that the termite swarms were unbelievable. Flying termites were constantly around camp and made it hard to relax outside.
The bathrooms were so far from our site that I never even bothered walking over to see them. At night, the campground was loud because the sites are packed so close together, and people were active late into the evening. It honestly felt like nobody wanted to spend more time at camp than necessary.
We originally booked two nights but left after one because we simply did not want to stay there any longer. Yosemite itself is incredible, but this campground seriously took away from the experience.

The pull in was unlevel and made for a very difficult experience in our truck tent. The camp was very noisy even after quiet hours.
Camp host was helpful though.

Great campground near the edge of Yosemite. Sites aren’t super flat, but overall we had a nice time. Nice fire pits and picnic tables so it was easy to cook and make s’mores after dinner. Loved seeing Yosemite Valley and hiking the waterfall trails.

Many campsites sloped and extremely close by I swear my campsite was closer to my neighbors than my shared site at camp 4. Lots of families making noise throughout the night seemed to be no quiet hours. The bathroom was not very accessible from my site and was not clean in the slightest.

Park rangers very friendly. Camp was clean and well maintained. We didn’t realize that it was located on the NW entrance but there are some nice hikes near by.

Nicely organized campsite where the hike in is only a short walk from the parking at the loop. Easy to pitch the tent stakes
