Site 34 - not bad, lots of space to pitch tent. Need to walk uphill to bathroom. Mosquitoes during evenings in mid June but they go away at night.

Not level at all! My 23’ Class C motorhome just fit, but was very much sloped in the back. A weird site overall and my least favorite campground (stayed this trip at all 3 Pines campgrounds + Wawona). There was no where to move the picnic table to that wasn’t on a slant. Very small flat area to put chairs, but you’d be really close to the fire ring. We were very much on top of our neighbors, which was a large group. Fortunately they were respectful, friendly and didn’t stay up late. In general I noticed sites were very close to each other. This campground is literally just inside the West entrance (Big Oak Flat) and visitor’s center is across the street from the campground. Wasn’t anything to do at the campground. My 11 yr old and I rode our bikes around. Took 5 minutes to see entire campground. Asked ranger if there were any hikes or fire roads to ride bikes or anything to do. He said stargaze. Was glad we were only here for 1 night and arrived late afternoon. Would have preferred to drive another 45 minutes into the valley to stay in one of the Pines campgrounds.

We enjoyed our time at this campground. Bathrooms were flushing toilets and clean. Campground was clean. Good tree cover. Ground not completely flat but we were still able to sleep comfortably. Long drives to some parts of the park but that’s just the nature of a large national park. Would stay here again.

My campsite was close to food locker. At night when I was trying to sleep, people were still opening and closing the locker, making a loud noise. It became quite after about 11pm. The ground was a little uneven at my site. Other than that, the campsite was nice and spacious. The men’s bathroom has no lights while women’s has.

Our site, 104, was extremely unlevel. Our trailer actually fell off the jackstands. We almost gave it up, but after discussing with our neighbors, found a more level area immediately next to their site. Considering how difficult it is to get reservations here, this was very disappointing and problematic. There would likely have been no place else to stay. We picked this site up after a last minute cancellation, and I can see why. Avoid site The site is huge, but deeply rutted, both along the road, and through the site. The ruts were at least 1 ft deep. The site itself also slopes at least 4 ft from one end to the other. We never used the fire pit or the picnic table because they were so far from where we finally could put our trailer. Bathrooms with sinks are available, clean, with cold water. No showers. Unless you have a tiny trailer, or a small tent, avoid sites 104 and 105 at all costs. Our trailer is only 18 ft.

Very dusty, not level sites. We were in a camper van. Crowded and not much privacy anywhere. Nice warm welcome from the entry gate - thank you!

Campsite #71 was exactly what we wanted it to be. On the edge of the campground, with other quiet tent-camping neighbors to each side and just forest to the back. The walk from parking to camp was short and easy. Location was great for peace and quiet at night in camp and beautiful drives during the day to see the grandeur of Yosemite: one day in the Valley and one along Tioga road.

Very clean campground and easy to navigate to find your reserved site. After hours check-in was a breeze. Would definitely spend another night at this campground.

Hodgdon Meadow camping was really fun for our group. Site 34 is indeed on an incline. I thought I found a level ground to set up our tent but we found ourselved slipping throughout the night. Beware of ants that come out especially at night. A bit of a walk to the bathrooms and wash area but no overall major complaints.

We rolled in very late and check in was very easy to manage the next day. Our group camping sites were very spacious. We especially enjoyed being at the end of the campground where the kids could play in the woods where we could still see them. There was ample space in the bear lockers for all of our toiletries and food items. Only wish we could've stayed longer.
