I'm a long time camper at Hodgedon Meadows campground. The campground is old and in major need of refurbisment. It should be closed for 1 or two seasons and upgraded. Improved signage, road improvent, walk in site parking improvent, campsite boundry improvent and esspecially the outdated restrooms need upgraded. Hodgedon needs an upgrade like what Crane Flat just had. Crane flat can become the yearround campground until Hodgedon is reopened.

Campground has lots of trees and shade. Can get dusty and no showers. I recommend bringing your own hand soap and thicker toilet paper for the flushing toilets. Clean water is available and individual bear lockers for each site! My family loved it!

Great campsite but could be more accurate with how level the tent pads are.

We enjoyed our stay but the campsite was very basic. There are 2 washrooms that have water for drinking in one space with a sink for waste water. It was a lot of work to tote water back and forth to the bathroom when there was no direct route from our campsite to the bathroom. To dump the water from our trailer would require a 1 hour drive to the Upper Pines campground in the Yosemite Valley.
Most of the sites in Yosemite are closest to the Upper and Lower Pines campground. We couldn't get a campsite at either of these sites on the first day of the registration process.

So nice to be able to find camping in Yosemite close (30min) to the valley and hiking! We camped in a hike-in spot. The trails around the campground to the campsites and the bathrooms are not clearly marked with just dirt and pine needles everywhere. It was extremely difficult to find your way around the campground at night with a headlamp. Felt so bad for all of our neighbors when we accidentally walked through their campsites trying to find our own and the bathroom.

Quietness but site leveling to be improved.

Clean dog-friendly sites. Super friendly rangers. Flush toilets and clean bathrooms. Would return, zero hesitation :)

I wish two changes. They need a better water spigot to fill watter jugs. The one above the gray waste sink is too high to fill water jugs.
Second have assigned parking spots for each walk in site. 1 spot per camp. Those with two cars, the second car can park further away in a not assigned spot.
