Campground was nice - the only concern was the driving distance/time into the valley, especially in the evening after an exhausting day.

You’re right up next to other campers, the camp spots are way way too close together. People and their kids are loud late at night and really early in the morning so bring your ear plugs. Also, camp 34 is entirely on a slope, there is only one spot for one tent that is level. Cooking and eating area, and fire pit are all sloped, really annoying experience.
Also remember there’s no showers!

Site 84 was nice and big, although the entry to the site is a bit steep. We made it with our class B van which does not have a laptop of clearance. The campground was typical of NPs, kind of rustic and older but clean and the ranger was nice.

The camp hosts and park rangers were so friendly and helpful! It is a great campground, but be wary if you are in an RV/trailer the sites can be very steep and uneven.

I recommend this campground to whoever can't book a site at the Yosemite Valley campgrounds, want a cooler/higher elevation option, want a gas station nearby, or want to visit the beautiful Hetch Hetchy Valley or take Tioga Road to Tuolumne Meadows. However, it was confusing to find Sites 3 and 4 on the printed map at the campsite kiosk and I had to circle around the loop to find it. Small issue for an amazing experience.

Beautiful campsite, well kept, close to main attractions. Many campsites are on steep hillsides and close to other campsites.

It was a pathetic experience. There were insects flying everywhere, ants crawling all over the benches, leftover food/dirt still not cleaned up. Washrooms were terrible. Would definitely never visit again

Beautiful campground that’s both close and far enough away from the chaos of the valley that you can enjoy a quieter time at camp while still being able to take a quick trip down. The campground has flushable toilets, respectful neighbors, and a ton of wildlife! Dawnanne and her husband were excellent camp hosts and really brought so much charm and hospitality to my stay! Can’t wait to come back and camp here again !
