Great campsite in the valley — plenty of hikes nearby within walking distance. Definitely grab a spot here if you can!

Spot 004’s parking area was a giant puddle. All good otherwise.

Campsite 14 - great site a lot of space. Close to the restroom, but there were no issues. Two picnic tables and a fire ring. Enough space for 2 tents. There’s an empty space between the campsite and bathrooms where kids were able to play. Fallen leaves were beautiful. Will try to book this site again.

A great shout-out to the campground host of Lower Pines who helped us with a jammed padlock on our bear locker. He was our hero!

Great campground, convenient to shuttle. Some issue with maneuvering into spot, but made it and had an enjoyable stay. Pay attention to size and maneuvering when picking a spot.

Fr the best campgrounds I think. I absolutely loved being so close to all my favorite things in the valley. The best part was being a walking distance from curry village!

With the shutdown in full swing, we were a little apprehensive as to how our trip would play out. Upon arriving, our concerns were quickly allayed. Don, the volunteer ranger manning the gate at lower pines, was so informative and reassuring not to mention kind and warm; we found ourselves coming back to his station numerous times over the next 2 days just to bend his ear. The news reports of the mayhem befalling the park were nonexistent in our experience, due in large part to the commitment of these fine men and women volunteering their time to ensure the rest of us could bask in the splendor of this magical place. We stayed in 2 sites, 18 and 21, both affording amazing views of the monolithic formations surrounding us. It was our first time experiencing it and is sure to tarnish nearly any other park we visit. Those vistas and the sheer scale are going to be difficult to top. Thanks to all who volunteered their precious time to assure that all of us could have a safe and enjoyable experience.
