My experience was amazing, the campground was clean, everyone was friendly, and the restrooms were well maintained. There was, of course, always that one group who were loud and ruined it for everyone, but that is almost to be expected these days. My only negative was the poor enforcement of after hours noise and engine use.

We had two site, 500 and 511. Both were fine, but 500 was right noext to the bathroom which can get a little loud at times.

North Pines campground is incredible, located right in the heart of the Valley. Site 215 in particular is incredible. Located underneath multiple pine trees, large parking pad thay easily fits two large vehicles, and a huge flat area suitable for multiple tents. The bathrooms are located just across the road; close enough to be convenient, but not too close where you would hear noise or have extra foot traffic through the site.
The only downside, like all the Pines campgrounds, is that the bathrooms are in desperate need of replacement. Hopefully updating these bathrooms is included on future National Parks' budgets.
